A Busy Few Weeks at Guinea Gourmet Treats 🌿

It's been a little while since my last website update, and honestly, life has been a bit of a whirlwind!

Between Guinea Gourmet Treats, family life, home education, forage collection, customer orders, and trying to stay on top of everything else life throws at me, the days seem to disappear faster than ever.

Home Education & Family Life

One of the biggest changes recently has been starting our home education journey.

This has brought plenty of challenges, but also some really encouraging moments. Watching learning happen through curiosity, problem-solving, creativity, and real-life experiences has been fascinating. It's a learning curve for all of us, but we're slowly finding our feet.

Like many small business owners, GGT isn't separate from family life. The two are woven together, and sometimes that means juggling coding lessons, maths sessions, and packing orders all in the same afternoon!

Forage Season is Well Underway

The forage baskets have been filling up nicely recently.

Over the past few weeks I've been busy collecting, drying, sorting, and storing a wide range of seasonal forage including:

🌿 Sow Thistle

🌿 Bamboo Leaves & Sticks

🌿 Hazel Branches

🌿 Linden Branches

🌿 Ash Leaves

🌿 Dead Nettle

🌿 Rose Petals

🌿 Carrot Tops

🌿 Dandelion Leaves & Flowers

🌿 Elderberries

Every forage season feels slightly different, and I always enjoy seeing what nature provides each year.

Quality Always Comes First

Some of you may have seen the recent update regarding a willow batch issue.

Firstly, thank you to everyone who contacted me. Customer feedback is incredibly important and helps me monitor products quickly and effectively.

One thing I never want to lose as GGT grows is the ability to listen, investigate concerns properly, and put animal welfare first. If you ever receive something you're unsure about, please always get in touch.

Rewards & The Monthly Draw

The May prize draw has now been completed, and congratulations again to Anna, who received £20 added to her rewards balance.

Thank you to everyone who places orders and supports the rewards scheme. Every order is automatically entered into the monthly draw, and every purchase earns rewards towards future treats and forage.

Behind The Scenes

A lot of my recent time has also been spent:

📦 Packing orders

📧 Answering customer emails

🌐 Updating the website

🌿 Sorting and storing forage stock

🧪 Developing new product ideas

📸 Creating more behind-the-scenes content

My goal is to continue making the website updates section a place where you can follow the real journey behind Guinea Gourmet Treats, rather than only seeing finished products.

Looking Ahead

Over the coming weeks I'll be focusing on:

🌿 Building forage stock for the months ahead

🌿 Expanding the soft dry range

🌿 Creating new forage blends

🌿 Continuing home education

🌿 Improving the website and customer experience

As always, thank you for supporting a small business that's handmade at heart and rooted in rescue.

Every order, every message, every recommendation, and every photo of your animals enjoying their forage genuinely means the world.
