Designed by Taylor for Halloween at Guinea Gourmet Treats π§βοΈπΏ
Sometimes the best mixes aren't planned.
Witchhood Bliss started with Taylor experimenting with forage in her room — combining willow, ash, hazel, flowers and carrot purely because she liked the way it looked and felt together.
And frankly... it was too good not to make properly. π
We've refined her original combination into a browse-heavy seasonal forage packed with different leaf shapes, aromas and textures, then finished it with bright marigold, rose petals and just a tiny scattering of dried carrot.
The finished mix is 80% tree browse, keeping proper leafy forage firmly at the centre while still giving Witchhood Bliss its gorgeous autumn colour.
Dark leaves.
Golden flowers.
Rose petals.
Little flashes of orange.
Basically Halloween in a forage bag. ππΏ

πΏ What's Inside?
πΏ Hazel Leaf – 40%
The main leafy browse base.
Hazel provides plenty of natural leaf texture and makes up the largest part of Witchhood Bliss.
-
Adds fibre-rich leafy browse
-
Encourages natural chewing and exploration
-
Gives the mix structure and volume
-
Provides a familiar hedgerow-style forage
π³ Willow Leaf – 30%
The second major browse ingredient.
Willow adds another leaf shape, aroma and texture to the blend and helps create the proper woodland feel Taylor's original mix had.
-
Encourages browsing and chewing
-
Adds botanical variety
-
Traditionally associated with comfort and anti-inflammatory support
-
Gives the blend a slightly deeper, woody forage character
π Ash Leaf – 10%
Ash is deliberately included at a smaller supporting percentage rather than being used as the main forage.
-
Adds another tree-browse texture
-
Increases botanical variety
-
Encourages natural forage exploration
-
Gives Witchhood Bliss an even broader mix of leaves
Because guidance around ash varies between species, we've included specific advice further down rather than assuming it is appropriate for every animal.
πΌ Marigold – 9%
Bright golden marigold gives the mix its unmistakable autumn colour.
-
Adds floral aroma
-
Provides antioxidant-rich botanical variety
-
Encourages sensory exploration
-
Gives Witchhood Bliss those beautiful flashes of Halloween orange and gold
πΉ Rose Petals – 8%
Rose softens the woodland mix with another fragrance and texture.
-
Adds natural colour and aroma
-
Provides botanical and antioxidant variety
-
Encourages sniffing and forage searching
-
Gives the darker leaves a colourful contrast
π₯ Dried Carrot – 3%
A tiny finishing scatter, rather than a major ingredient.
The carrot pieces add:
-
Bright orange Halloween colour
-
Crunchy texture
-
Natural food interest
-
Little pieces to discover amongst the leaves
Carrot is deliberately kept to just 3% because it is sweeter than the leafy forage surrounding it.
The pieces are left large and visible, making them easy to identify and remove for species where carrot isn't recommended.

πΎ Species Guide
Because Witchhood Bliss contains several different tree leaves plus a small amount of carrot, suitability isn't identical for every species.
Rather than pretending it is, here's the useful version. π
π₯ Feeding Guide
Feed as complementary forage alongside the normal species-appropriate diet and fresh water.
-
π° Rabbits: Small handful 2–3× weekly
-
πΉ Guinea Pigs: 1–2 tsp to a small handful, 2–3× weekly
-
πΉ Hamsters: ½–1 tsp, 1–2× weekly
-
π Gerbils: Small pinch to ½ tsp, 1–2× weekly
-
π Rats: 1–2 tsp, 1–2× weekly
-
π Mice: Small pinch 1–2× weekly
-
π Chinchillas: Not recommended as supplied. Remove ALL carrot pieces first, then offer a tiny pinch occasionally.
-
πΉ Degus: Remove carrot for the lowest-sugar option, then offer a small pinch around 1× weekly.
-
π’ Tortoises: Not recommended due to the ash content.
Rabbits and guinea pigs should continue to have unlimited suitable hay or grass available at all times.
Introduce unfamiliar botanicals gradually.
β οΈ A Note About Ash
Ash is included at 10%, not as the bulk of the forage.
Different animal-feeding resources vary in their recommendations around ash, particularly between species.
This is why Witchhood Bliss includes a species-specific guide rather than a blanket claim that every small pet can eat it.
If your animal has particular dietary restrictions, sensitivities or a prescribed diet, choose a forage specifically suited to those needs.
π₯ Why Keep the Carrot?
Because it's part of Taylor's original mix. π
And at 3%, it doesn't need to become the star of the product.
It gives Witchhood Bliss:
π₯ Bright orange colour
π Autumn character
π Another scent to investigate
πΎ Little high-interest pieces amongst the browse
Most importantly, the slices remain large enough to identify and remove if you're feeding a species for which carrot isn't appropriate.
π§βοΈ The Story Behind Witchhood Bliss
This one genuinely wasn't designed at a desk.
Taylor started combining ingredients herself in her room.
Willow.
Ash.
Hazel.
Rose.
Marigold.
Carrot.
There wasn't a spreadsheet.
There weren't percentages.
There was just:
“These look good together.” π
And she was right.
Once we saw the finished combination, we loved the colours, textures and whole woodland-Halloween feel so much that we refined the proportions and turned it into a proper GGT forage.
The result is Witchhood Bliss.
A seasonal mix that started with a child's creativity and became something genuinely worth putting on the shelf. π§βοΈπΏ
π The Spirit of the Mix
Think woodland floor after dark.
πΏ Hazel leaves tangled through willow.
π Ash scattered between the browse.
πΌ Golden marigold glowing amongst darker leaves.
πΉ Rose petals tucked through the greenery.
π₯ Tiny flashes of orange hiding underneath.
Witchhood Bliss isn't Halloween because we added something artificial to make it Halloween.
The plants did that themselves.
Wild. Witchy. Leafy.
And very, very Taylor. πππΏ
