π» Sunflower Leaves & Stems
100% Dried Sunflower Leaves & Stems
Digestion • Antioxidant • Enrichment
Small Bag – Approx. 3 Cups / Est. 75g
Bulk Bag – 1kg
A naturally chunky forage combining dried sunflower leaves and fibrous stems, giving animals a completely different texture to softer leafy botanicals.
Sunflower forage brings together broad leaves, crisp pieces and thicker stems that encourage animals to sniff, sort, pull and chew their way through the mix.
It works brilliantly scattered amongst hay, added to forage trays or mixed with softer leaves and grasses to create more texture and variety.
Simple, natural and particularly useful for animals that love something a little crunchier to investigate. π»πΏ

Scatter through hay or combine with other suitable leaves and grasses to encourage natural searching.
Introduce unfamiliar forage gradually.
Rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus should continue to have their normal suitable feeding hay available.
π» Why Moderate Feeding?
Sunflower leaves are useful as supplementary fibre and enrichment, but they shouldn't make up a large proportion of the overall diet.
Research in rabbits found problems when dried sunflower leaves were used at a very high 40% of the total diet, so GGT recommends keeping sunflower forage as part of a varied botanical rotation rather than feeding it as a staple.
