Garden Canopy is built around natural leaves rather than treat ingredients. 90% of the blend is leafy browse, while the vegetable topping stays deliberately small — just enough to make rummaging through the forage that little bit more exciting.

Linden provides the soft, calming base, while ash adds a different browse texture and naturally occurring plant compounds. Dried cucumber and carrot finish the blend with familiar flavours that can help encourage investigation and appetite without dominating the nutritional profile.

🌿 Linden Leaf – 60%

The Gentle Base

Soft, aromatic linden leaves make up the majority of Garden Canopy.

Linden provides natural plant fibre and botanical variety while traditionally being valued as a gentle calming botanical, making it particularly suited to relaxed forage rotations and animals who enjoy softer leafy browse.

Its light texture also makes an excellent base for scatter feeding and hay enrichment.

🌳 Ash Leaf – 30%

The Woodland Browse

Ash has a long history of being used as animal browse and fodder.

The leaves provide a contrasting texture to linden and contribute naturally occurring polyphenols and antioxidant plant compounds, while encouraging natural chewing, selecting and browsing behaviours.

Keeping ash at 30% means it adds useful woodland variety without becoming the dominant ingredient.

🥒 Dried Cucumber – 7%

The Fresh-Tasting Topper

A small scatter of dried cucumber adds a completely different aroma, colour and texture amongst the leaves.

Once dried, cucumber no longer provides the hydration associated with fresh cucumber, so its role here is primarily palatability, variety and enrichment.

At just 7%, it adds interest without turning Garden Canopy into a vegetable-heavy forage.

🥕 Dried Carrot – 3%

The Little Sweet Spot

Carrot provides natural colour, aroma and familiar flavour.

Because dried carrot becomes more concentrated than fresh carrot, we've deliberately kept it to just 3% of the blend.

That gives animals the excitement of occasionally discovering a carrot piece without filling the forage with unnecessary sugar.

Guinea Pigs: Approx. 5–10g per animal, 3–4 times weekly, scattered through hay or offered as forage.

Rabbits: Approx. 10–20g depending on body size, 3–4 times weekly, scattered through hay or around the enclosure.

Hamsters: Approx. 1–2g, 1–2 times weekly, preferably scatter fed.

Gerbils: Approx. 1–2g, 1–2 times weekly, scattered through bedding or forage areas.

Rats: Approx. 2–5g, 1–2 times weekly, offered as scatter forage or enrichment.

Mice: Approx. 0.5–1g, 1–2 times weekly.

Chipmunks: Approx. 1–2g, 1–2 times weekly as botanical enrichment.

Tortoises: Approx. 1 tablespoon, 1–2 times weekly, mixed through suitable fresh weeds and leafy foods.
