Blizzy’s Joint & Tummy Support

3.5 Cups | Approx 90G

A gentle, leafy forage for older companions.

Created with senior pets in mind, Blizzy’s Joint & Tummy Support brings together four familiar plants to add variety, scent and texture to your pet’s foraging routine.

Sow thistle, giant willowherb and carrot tops make up the leafy base, with chamomile flowers adding a fragrant finish. Sprinkle a little through hay, scatter it in a forage tray or use it in an enrichment toy to encourage natural searching and browsing.

This is a complementary forage, designed to sit alongside a balanced, species-appropriate diet and veterinary care. It is not a treatment for arthritis, digestive illness or loss of appetite.

Ingredient Breakdown

Sow Thistle — 35%

A leafy forage plant that adds natural variety and texture to the blend.

Giant Willowherb — 25%

A leafy hedgerow forage that encourages browsing and adds variety. Giant willowherb is a different plant from willow.

Carrot Tops — 25%

Leafy greens that add another familiar plant texture and flavour. This blend contains carrot tops, not carrot root.

Chamomile Flowers — 15%

A fragrant flower that adds botanical variety and a gentle aroma to the mix.

Suitable For

This blend is intended as an occasional complementary forage for small pets. Introduce it gradually and offer only a small amount at first.

Guinea pigs and rabbits — Sprinkle a little through hay or scatter it for foraging. Hay or grass should remain the main part of their diet.

Degus, hamsters, gerbils, rats and mice — Offer a small pinch as an occasional forage or enrichment scatter.

Chinchillas — Offer only a small amount occasionally. Keep their diet centred on hay, and check with your vet before offering new foods to a chinchilla with a history of urinary problems.

Tortoises and green iguanas — Their diets vary by species. Only offer this blend if the plants are suitable for your individual animal and its established diet; it must not replace their usual appropriate greens or weeds.

Feeding Instructions

  • Guinea pigs: 1–2 handfuls (8–15g), 3–5 times per week.
  • Rabbits: 2–4 handfuls (15–30g), 3–5 times per week.
  • Chinchillas: 1 small handful (5–8g), 2–3 times per week.
  • Degus: 1 small handful (5–8g), 2–4 times per week.
  • Hamsters: 1 generous pinch (1–2g), 2–3 times per week.
  • Gerbils: 1 generous pinch (1–2g), 2–3 times per week.
  • Rats: 1 small handful (3–5g), 2–3 times per week.
  • Mice: 1 small pinch (around 1g), 2–3 times per week.
  • Herbivorous tortoises: Sprinkle a small amount over their usual weeds or forage several times per week, if the ingredients suit that species.
  • Green iguanas: Sprinkle a small amount over their leafy greens 2–4 times per week, as part of their species-appropriate diet.

Introduce any new forage gradually and provide fresh water. If your pet prefers softer forage, lightly rehydrate a small portion with fresh drinking water just before serving. Offer it straight away and remove uneaten damp forage promptly; don’t store it once wet.

I’ve kept the portion amounts from the existing GGT listing and made the reptile guidance more specific to species-appropriate diets.
