  • Gerbils – pinch every other day, hidden in bedding

  • Hamsters – pinch once or twice a week in a forage toy

  • Rats – ½–1 teaspoon, two or three times weekly, crumbled into food

  • Mice – tiny pinch once weekly

  • Parakeets / small birds – pinch once a week, sprinkled over seed

  • Chickens – small handful scattered in run, 2–3 times weekly

  • Tortoises (leaf-eaters) – small handful once or twice weekly with weeds

  • Green iguanas – 1 teaspoon once or twice weekly, added to greens

Always provide fresh water and remove uneaten forage after 12 hours.
