GGT Daily Update – 3rd June 2026
Today has been one of those days where Guinea Gourmet Treats, home education, family life, customer service, and general life management all collided together.
Home Education Continues
We're now a few days into our home education journey, and today focused heavily on coding and problem-solving.
Ty wanted to continue learning Scratch after finishing for the day, which I took as a huge positive. Rather than needing encouragement to continue, he actively wanted to do more.
We worked through creating simple challenges, encouraging him to think through problems, experiment, make mistakes, and work out solutions independently. What stood out most wasn't whether the code worked perfectly first time, but his willingness to keep trying and figure things out.
One thing I'm already noticing is how much more enthusiasm appears when learning feels relevant and self-directed.
GGT Behind the Scenes
Today was also spent working through customer emails, rewards updates, website updates, and product information.
Several customers have been contacted regarding rewards balances, and I've continued updating rewards codes for those saving towards future orders.
The recent willow batch issue has also remained a focus. Thank you to everyone who has contacted me regarding any concerns. Customer feedback is invaluable and helps me monitor products and identify any issues quickly.
As always, if you ever receive forage you're concerned about, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Monthly Rewards Draw
A quick reminder that every order placed through Guinea Gourmet Treats is automatically entered into my monthly rewards draw.
One lucky customer receives £20 added to their rewards code to spend on the website.
The May draw is running slightly behind whilst I settle into our new home education routine, but orders are still being packed and dispatched as normal. The draw will be taking place within the next week.
New Website Updates
I've also been working on improving the website itself.
One goal moving forward is to make the Updates section more active, giving customers a place to see what's happening behind the scenes, what we're collecting, what projects we're working on, and what's coming next.
Social media moves quickly, but website updates allow everything to be kept together in one place for anyone who wants to follow the journey.
Looking Ahead
Over the next few days I'll be continuing to balance:
-
Home education planning and delivery
-
Customer orders and dispatch
-
Website improvements
-
Seasonal forage collection
-
Product development
-
Rewards updates and customer support
It's definitely a period of adjustment, but it's also an exciting one.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support Guinea Gourmet Treats whilst I find my feet with this new chapter.
As always, every order, photo, message, recommendation, and share genuinely means the world.
