A Few Days of Chaos... But We're Back!

If you've noticed things have been a little quieter over the last few days, or your order took a little longer than usual, I just wanted to say thank you for your patience.

Life has thrown us a bit of a curveball this week.

After what should have been a normal evening of sibling roughhousing, Taylor ended up injuring her finger and we found ourselves making an unexpected trip to hospital for X-rays. Thankfully it wasn't as serious as we'd first feared, but she's been sporting plenty of tape, resting it, and I've been promoted to full-time nurse!

Running a family business means sometimes family has to come first. I know many of you completely understand that because you're juggling work, children, pets and life just like we are.

The brilliant thing about home education is that even the unexpected becomes a learning opportunity.

Taylor has been learning patience (although she'd probably tell you she's had enough of that now!), while Ty has been throwing himself into real-life skills. He independently photographed, researched and listed a pair of trainers for sale, even working out how to find the serial numbers himself. Moments like that remind me why we chose this journey.

Behind the scenes at Guinea Gourmet Treats, it's been busy too.

While catching up with orders, we've also been working on some lovely new products. Taylor has even designed and packed one of our newest forage mixes herself, Taylor's Vitamin Swirl, which I'm ridiculously proud of. Seeing the children become part of the business in their own way has been one of the unexpected highlights of home education.

We've also continued expanding our range of soft-dried forage, something I've absolutely loved experimenting with this year. Every plant is carefully selected and dried to preserve as much goodness as possible, and I can't wait for you all to see what's coming over the next few weeks.

One thing I never want Guinea Gourmet Treats to become is a faceless business.

When you order from us, you're supporting a real family. Some days are smooth and productive. Other days involve hospital waiting rooms, taped-up fingers, making endless cups of tea, packing orders in the cooler evening air, and trying to convince children that climbing the furniture isn't a competitive sport!

But somehow, it all comes together.

Every order you place helps us keep creating new products, supports our rescue donations, allows the children to learn alongside the business, and reminds me why I started GGT in the first place.

So thank you.

Thank you for every order.
Thank you for every message.
Thank you for your patience.
And thank you for being part of this little community we've built together.

Now... if you'll excuse me, I have more forage to sort, parcels to pack, and I should probably check what the children are doing before someone discovers another creative way to visit A&E!
