£1.23 £0.82

Available in two variations:

  • 100% Hazel (leaves & twigs – small or large)

  • 70% Hazel + 30% Mixed Meadow Grass (extra fibre and variety)

Hand-foraged and air-dried to lock in crunch, flavour, and natural benefits. Hazel is loved for its dental work, tannins, and antioxidant support, while meadow grass adds the long-strand fibre every herbivore gut needs.

Why It Works

Hazelnut Leaves & Twigs (Pure or 70%)

  • Dental wear & enrichment: Tough, tasty twigs help grind incisors and relieve boredom.

  • Natural tannins: Support gum tone and may help keep coccidia in check (medirabbit.com).

  • Antioxidants & minerals: Leaf polyphenols support immune health (thedomesticatedrabbit.com).

Mixed Meadow Grass (30% in mix option)

  • Gut health: Long-strand fibre drives motility and supports healthy caecal flora (Well Kept Rabbit).

  • Forage variety: Adds texture and low-calorie bulk for natural grazing.

No grains, sugars, flavours, or fillers — just pure air-dried leaves, fresh twigs, and sweet meadow grass.

Feeding Guide

Rabbits & Guinea Pigs

  • Loose handful daily on top of main hay.

Chinchillas & Degus

  • Heaped tablespoon every other day.

Gerbils, Hamsters, Rats & Mice

  • Small pinch weekly for enrichment.

Parakeets & Small Parrots

  • Thread pencil-thin twig through cage bars or crumble a pinch of leaf weekly.

Chickens

  • Scatter 1 tsp per hen weekly for pecking fun.

Wild Ducks

  • Safe to toss a handful on grass — far better than bread.

Garden Herbivores (Wild Rabbits, Wood Pigeons)

  • Safe in moderation.

Giant African Land Snails (GALS)

  • Offer a small piece of leaf or twig 1–2 times a week.

  • Rinse before serving and remove uneaten forage within 24 hours.

  • Provides texture for rasping and mild fibre — pair with calcium-rich foods for balance.

(Not suitable for hedgehogs or carnivorous wildlife.)

Highlights

  • Two-ingredient purity — perfect for sensitive tummies and rotation diets.

  • Combines dental work (hazel twigs) with gut-healthy fibre (meadow grass).

  • Natural tannins support oral hygiene and immune health.

  • Small-batch, ethically harvested — every bag supports Guinea Garden Sanctuary.

Tara’s Note (for Krista’s blog)

Krista’s order inspired this batch — I took the kids foraging to hand-pick the softest hazel leaves and freshest meadow grasses. There’s something special about knowing exactly where every twig comes from, and sharing that process with you makes it even more personal.
